چکیده
Abstract We in this article have presented a review of the guideline recommendations on theranostic positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) imaging which will be helpful to assist practitioners providing appropriate patient care. Multiple guidelines by different societies and medical associations provide standards for diagnosis, imaging, treatment cancer patients. They generated number related 68Ga-DOTATATE 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET-CT, are classical examples PET-CT current practice.

FDG PET/CT imaging in pediatric oncology
Hybr id imag ing w i th F -FDG PET/CT has revolutionized the practice of imaging in oncology patients. The clinical utility of FDG PET/CT in pediatric oncology is most well-established in the evaluation of malignant lymphomas, which comprise about 15% of childhood cancers in Western populations. In Hong Kong, the incidence is lower with these tumors comprising about 8.5% of cancers in children,...
متن کاملPET-CT imaging in pediatric oncology
Positron emission tomography (PET)-computed tomography (CT) is emerging as a valuable tool for assessing a wide variety of pediatric malignancies, including lymphomas, soft-tissue tumors, and bone sarcomas. PET-CT may provide information that is not apparent on conventional imaging performed to stage these diseases and monitor their response to treatment. The use of PET-CT in children requires ...
متن کاملPET/CT in Oncology
Positron emission tomography (PET) is a molecular imaging method that images the human body non-invasively from a functional, biochemical perspective. PET is extraordinarily sensitive and can detect minute (femtomolar) quantities of radioactive tracers. However, because of photon scattering, the images do not have as high spatial resolution as CT or MRI nor do they provide much anatomical infor...

(18)F-FDG PET/CT is a diagnostic three-dimensional non-invasive device, routinely employed in neurology, cardiology, and oncology, and which contributes to patient care giving functional informations about glucose metabolism. In particular, staging, restaging, follow-up and response to treatment of tumors are the most common applications in oncologic field. Many neoplasms show increased glucose...

The escalating costs of conventional diagnostic technology in oncology have yet to obviate futile surgery intervention and the spiralling treatment cost. The evolution in engineering technology which looks at the correlation of the anatomy and the function of tumours i.e. Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography (PET-CT) have impacted on the improved diagnostic accuracy and treatment in...
